Digital technology-Insult bot/Compliment bot

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/595534277/embed

For the few weeks in digital technology, we were assigned to develop a project that a skill we have learned through the years.

Our members were Aryan, Cody, Chris, and after brainstorming we had the idea to make a robot that gives you compliments/insults your choice what one you choose.

We split up into two teams Chris, Aryan was the coders for our project, Cody and I were the graphic designers for the robot.

We started our project and came up with the idea of an insult bot/compliment bot that whenever detects movement using a sensor it will play a computer-generated voice insulting or giving compliments whoever is dected. We deleted most of the insults we had created  previously and kept a few that we deemed worthy enough.Cody and I began searching the internet for different randomizers that we could use to randomly selcet a insult to play.Cody and I was still finalzing the code for the randomizers Aryan and Chris were working on the code for the randomizers while Cody and I bulit the robot.Aryan and I were working to find some insults and coplimetns Cody was finsing the robot Aryan finalized the code and started adding insults.Aryan and Cody relized that the robot would'ent function as intended and began searching for some new ideas the idea they came up with was to create a box with a button on top that would insult/compliment when pressed. Also Cody came up with the measurments for the box.Cody and Chris started to design a box using MakerCase to create a box for the computer and buttons then with Mr Carter help he ediited the file in laszer works.During this Aryan was finding more insults/complimetns.We finsished and here is the pciture of our project.

environment

We should working on improving how we are using our bins we are hurting our planet if we don't do anything our planet is going to die. People need to be more responsible for putting rubbish in the red not the yellow bins. If there is more than 10% they will dumped the rubbish into landfills. Some of the rubbish goes to the ocean and kills marine life like the whale bellow died from heaps of rubbish in his stomach.

Metal recations

Method get a splint light a bunsen burner then you will  need to get 2ml of sulfuric acid and put it in a test tube then put a tiny piece of metal in the test tube the metal will dissolve and the test tube will heat up after you have done this you will need to put a boiling tube on top of the test tube and put the test tube inside wait 1 minute and light the split. Then with the splint you need to lift up the big boiling tube keep it upside down and put the splint inside the boiling tube it made a pop if there is no pop that means that there is no hydrogen.

When we did the steps we had to make the whistle our group member put the splint inside the boiling tube and it made a loud whistle sound. This experiment was fun because it was really easy to do and a very fast experiment.

Making metal oxide light your Bunsen burner add manganese in the scissor tongs after you have grabbed the manganese you want to lit your Bunsen burner. When we put the manganese on the flame it started glowing it was very bright do not look at it when its is very bright because it can damage your eyes.

We had to grabbed test tubes and had to put bit of manganese dioxide into it after that we had to lit a splint then we had to put some of hydrogen peroxide into the tube. After that they started reacting with each other. We blew out of the splint out put the smoldering splint in the tube and set it on fire again.

We had to grabbed two tubes and bung one one with the delivery tube going to the other tube.Next we added metal carbonate into the tube with the bung in the next tube we added lime water after we had to quickly remove the bung  add some acid and put the bung back on After some attempts the lime water started going cloudy.

Metals

 Why are metals colored?

Metals are colored because the absorption and remission of light are dependent on wavelength.Gold and copper have low reflectivity at short wavelengths yellow and red are preferentially reflected as the color suggests.

Why are metals magnetic?

Magnetism in metals is created by the uneven distribution of electrons in atoms of certain metal elements. The irregular rotation and movement caused by this uneven distribution of electrons shift the charge inside the atom back and forth creating magnetic dipoles.
