This week we have being learing about Bob Geldof,Midge Ure here are some information about them.

 In the 1970s Bob Geldof was a singer and musician who achieve success with the group Boom town rats.He is figure of leader that would promote charitable events and debt relief.In 1984 Bob moved from being rock star to international celebrity for awareness of charity's.He was also famous for its Christmas time in the UK charts and also made I hate Mondays. 

In the 1970's Midge Ure was he many bands together with Bob Geldof once he joined the band in 1980's ure helped make Ultravox a mainstream success during the time he worked as producer make recorders with Steve Harley and Modern man.The two wrote the song do they know Christmas it sold millions of copies over the 1984 Holiday season and promtoed

 For the past weeks we have been learning about Parihaka the story is about how the British took over Parihaka. There leader was arrested for being on there land.We had to explain what was the main message.The main message of this song is about Parihaka,Te Whiti In the song You Cant Pull Out Roots this means that you can't stop to planting seeds.In the song there is another lyrics about main message His Children wearing the white plume.Means that they are wearing white feather that represents Te Whiti.Te Whiti will never be defeat which means he will never be forgotten.
