Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.
Definition: A technique for separating the different parts of a mixture / solid using liquid.
Rainbow paper
Materials;
1. chromatography paper
2. Pencil
3. water base coloured pens
4. Ruler
5. water
6. cup
Process:
Step 1:You want to get your chromatography paper and you want measure with ruler 1 millimetre 2 millimetre.
Step 2:When you have ruled the line now you want to get your water base coloured where you have put the line down bowed you just get your three colour black red green you want to put 3 dots.
Step 3:When you have that you want to get your cup then get your chromatography paper after that you want to wait for your to put the water in.
Step 4:When your teacher gave you some in your cup put the chromatography paper in but do not put the whole thing water or it wont work.
Step 5:You should see the colour going up.
Step 6:When you have done step 5 you have Finish there experiment.
Findings: Write about what happened.When you put the chromatography paper in the water it wont work tho if you don't have water base colour felts it you work but our when pretty good but the whole paper fell water then we just finish the experiment there
Reflection: What have I learnt from this experiment? If you have water base colour felt it will work the experiment but if you don't have normal colour felt it wont work.
